ELEANOR - LARBIE

BOARD MEMBER

Eleanor Larbie obtained her secondary school education at Wesley Girls’ High School, Cape Coast in 2004. Thereafter, she pursued a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from KNUST from 2005 to 2009. Following that, she gained admission to the Ghana Law School in 2009 and she was called to the Ghana Bar in 2011.

After her call to the Bar, Eleanor practiced civil and criminal law and this exposed her to a wide array of legal matters in various practice areas. Eleanor also has valuable experience in providing sound legal solution to clients on corporate, contract, litigation and Intellectual Property Law. In addition, she has skills in negotiation, reviewing and drafting of commercial agreements, company registration and compliance as well as Company Secretarial practice.

In 2015, Eleanor was awarded a scholarship by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to pursue a master’s degree in Intellectual Property at Africa University, Zimbabwe. She emerged the 3rd best graduating student and she was awarded a WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) Fellowship Training at Seiwa Patent and Law, a law firm in Tokyo, Japan where she had practical training in patent law practice. She is passionate about the use of intellectual property rights as well as its management by companies and individuals for their economic wellbeing. Currently, Eleanor is the legal advisor to a Company that provides financial technology for banks, savings and loans as well as insurance Companies.
