Elizabeth Boakye is a legal Practitioner with a passion for Intellectual Property. She obtained both her undergraduate and Law degrees from the University of Ghana, Legon and proceeded to the Ghana School of Law. She was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2011. She is also an alumnus of Africa University, Mutare, Zimbabwe where she obtained a master’s degree in Intellectual Property. Ms Boakye has spoken on a number of Intellectual Property platforms both in and outside Ghana. 

She has also played key roles in a number of Intellectual Property sensitization programmes in Africa including working with the Network of African Science Academies, NASAC-IAP and the Academy of Arts and Sciences, Ghana. In addition, she has been working in the Financial Services Industry since her call to the bar and this has given her a deep appreciation of the need to increase IP advocacy and awareness in all fields of knowledge. Ms Boakye believes that there is the need not only to create Intellectual Property awareness but a need to sensitize and conscientize people on Intellectual Property Rights and its benefits.
